[Poetry] A window of thoughts

A prisoner looks through the narrow window of his prison cell and retrospects his past actions and life. This poem is a shadow of his thoughts.

Opened my eyes to a window of thoughts;

But failed to look up at the sun above.

It is bright and shining; enlightened.

I envy it,

jealous a bit.

Gathered my consciousness to a reality of my actions.

I am the dark side of the moon,

A murky hidden shadow; ignorant.

A sinner,

I pity myself.

Opened my eyes to a window of thoughts;

A flame of zeal, a ray of life – the sun.

remorse, misery and evil; me.

Am I the reason, or the victim myself?

My cure; education or destiny?
