[Poetry] “Being Humane”

Few crowds, we are trapped into.
Few choices, we are forced into.
The pause between our words and acts,
is the bridge, between being a devil or saint.
The crossroads of heaven and hell.
We have to plunge over these hurdles,
meander gently through the struggle.
Like a river, remember our tryst with the sea.
Probity is triumph, a nectar of purity.
Sin is truce, an uncalled defeat,
disguised as  riches and luxury.
But remember our promise to the truth,
remember being a human, being humane.
